The Doctor's Worst Enemy Is His Former Self

Richard E. Grant will play the villain in this year's Doctor Who Christmas special, according to the BBC. This is a return of sorts for Grant, who was one of the future incarnations in Steven Moffat's hilarious 1999 parody, The Curse of Fatal Death, and for a time, was the official Ninth Doctor, now referred to as the Shalka Doctor, in a planned series of web exclusive animations that premiered just before Russell T. Davies brought the show back to TV.

No word on who he will be playing, or how he will make the Doctor, and the life of his new companion, have a very unmerry Christmas.
