Worf Wants His Own Film

I did not see this coming.

Michael Dorn, best known as the ever stoic Klingon security officer on Star Treks Next Generation and Deep Space Nine, is under the impression that people are clamouring for a Worf-centric spin-off film.  Says Dorn,
“Interestingly enough it has gotten traction. I was very surprised, I was on a movie not too long ago, where one of the producers was basically lobbying to be part of it. Like I said, in this business you never know and I’ve been through pitching things and I never want to do that again [laughs]. It’s pretty brutal, but definitely I think once again, if Paramount or CBS or anybody thinks this is a viable thing, they’ll jump on it.”
Dorn seems completely serious, but I can't help but feel a little sad for him. He seems to be living in a delusion here. Like the guy who played football in high school, and spends the rest of his life talking about how he was being scouted by the NFL.

I've seen Dorn act in other stuff. He's good. He's a better voice actor, but still. Has he got nothing going for him other then holding on to an idea, the kind that he probably corners people with at parties, of Worf finally getting his moment in the sun? I mean sure, a Worf movie would probably be awesome, but it seems so much like a Robot Chicken sketch for me to take it seriously.
