They have added to my appreciation of this great series and often helped clear up some of the many points of confusion. Your assessment of Kiera's outcome is spot-on. Like many, I was taken aback by her abrupt change of mind about returning "home". But it shows that our emotions are always ready to undermine our most rational intellectual assessments, even if they are as hard-won as Kiera's, as soon as even a remote possibility of abandoned desires presents itself. I did not think about the note not existing in the revised future. I was thinking maybe the writers were leaving a door open for a series spin off or TV movie.
